Day 1 in Honduras

Today began at 2:53am CST.  I packed my bags into my car, drove to Matt's house, transferred my bags to his car, we picked up Kyle (he had to carry one of his bags on his lap).  We arrived at TIA, met the rest of the team and checked in.  A quick flight to Houston and then a fairly short one to Tegucigalpa (which is said to be the 2nd most dangerous airport in the world) and we're on the ground in Honduras!

We ate a quick lunch at Church's Chicken (just like we never left home) and then took a death-defying  2- hour bus trip down to Choluteca.  Now, we're taking a break in our hotel.  Dinner is at 6pm tonight and tomorrow we begin our first day of ministry.

I want to thank all my friends and family who gave financially and have prayed for me on this trip.  Keep the prayers coming.  I'm asking for God to do big things in the lives of the people we minister to, but also in my life and the lives of those on our team.
